About the Conference

The 2011 conference concluded that Scotland's ambitious low carbon plans require a number of factors to come together to maximise the country’s potential to enjoy a world-leading position – particularly in marine energy technologies.

Investable projects; greater clarity in the investment community of the potential opportunities, risks and rewards; and innovative funding solutions will all be required along with a political will to make it happen. One year on from the inaugural conference, what progress has been made?

The conference is part of the SLCI project, a Government-backed initiative identifying and debating the opportunities and challenges around major offshore developments and infrastructure projects, as well as showcasing technological solutions to attract investment.
